Annual General Meeting & Board Elections, February 25th at 6:30pm

Please join OPIRG Guelph for a look back at our 2024-2025 year! 

At the Annual General Meeting we will:

  • Present our Annual Action Report
  • Present our Audit and answer your questions about our finances
  • Elect our Board of Directors for the coming year

Anyone is welcome to attend. During the official part of the AGM we will only be admitting voting members into the Zoom meeting, however anyone can follow along on Facebook Live. Once the meeting is adjourned, the Zoom chat will open up to everyone for the discussion part of the evening.

After the official meeting ends people are encouraged to stick around for informal conversation, to share ideas and get to know each other better.

And there will be door prizes, of course!

IMPORTANT Voting Details

  • If you wish to vote at the AGM and in the Board elections:
    • Make sure your membership is current before February 11th at 6pm
    • Make sure you register before Friday February 20th at noon.
  • Voting at the AGM is done by anonymous Zoom polls.
  • Board of Directors candidate profiles will be posted at opirgguelph.org and on our social media on February 11th at or shortly after 6pm.
  • If Board seats are not contested, you’ll be asked to vote Yes/No for each candidate.

IMPORTANT OPIRG Guelph Membership Details

  • If you are a graduate or a full-time undergraduate UofG student, and have not opted out of the voluntary fee this year, you are a member in good standing.
  • If you are NOT a graduate or a full-time undergraduate UofG student, you need to ensure your Community membership is current before February 11th at 6pm in order to be eligible to vote at the AGM. If you need to start or renew a membership please print or copy then fill the membership form and return it before the deadline: https://tinyurl.com/OPIRG-Guelph-Membership-2026. Hard copies of the membership form are available at the OPIRG office, open Monday 2-6pm and Tuesday-Thursday 10am-6pm. You can return the hard copy of the form to the office, or you can email a photo or scan to mandy at organizational@opirgguelph.org.
  • If you’re not sure if you are a member in good standing, or if you need to make other arrangements in order to renew your membership, reach out to mandy at organizational@opirgguelph.org.
