Bake sale / Candy Giveaway – In support of refugees

Organized by Students Offering Welcome, an OPIRG Guelph Action Group.

By donation. All proceeds will go directly to Chios Eastern Shore Response Team (CESRT).

CESRT is a group of independent volunteers providing aid to 4100 refugees on Chios Island, filling the gaps of NGOs on the ground. They rely solely on donations, volunteers, and supplies. You can learn more about them at https://www.facebook.com/chiosesrt/.

S.O.W.’s goal is to raise awareness about the realities of this crisis and to fundraise. The refugees’ needs on the island are constantly changing, and, as winter approaches, they are only going to grow. Come on out to learn more, and grab a tasty treat while you’re at it 🙂
