We are pleased to welcome Brad Evoy to OPIRG-Guelph as the new Coordinator of Organizational and Policy Development! We are sad to see Sarah Scanlon move on, but we are confident that Brad’s extensive work in PIRG, union, and cooperative spaces will make his transition into this role an exciting one. He will be transitioning into his new role over the next few weeks, so please stop by the OPIRG office at 24 Trent Lane and say hello. This will be an important time for Brad to get to know the community, and for the community to get to know him.
Brad is a self-described “nerdy, disabled Mi’kmaq, who is known for his focus and his upbeat tempo. While new to Guelph, he has spent nearly ten years working within campus and activist organizations in both Newfoundland and Ontario—as such he has a broad knowledge of education, training, capacity building, and policy & organizational development. So, if you want to check out our archives and library, learn more about our Provincial Network or how our Board does its thing, come on by or drop Brad a line! He’s really looking forward to connecting with folks across the campus and community.”
