With an aim to inform the debate around Bill C-51, award-winning documentary The Secret Trial 5 is embarking on a cross-country tour to ensure the human impact of its potential human impact measures remain a part of the dialogue.
A film about the human impact of the ‘war on terror,’ The Secret Trial 5 is a sobering examination of the Canadian government’s use of security certificates, a tool that allows for indefinite detention without charges, based on evidence not revealed to the accused or their lawyers.
After premiering to much acclaim at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto this spring, The Secret Trial 5 has gone on to screen at film festivals across Canada and Internationally and win numerous awards.
Be a part of the passionate and growing audience for this film, which the Huffington Post called “A must see,” and which The Globe and Mail, Now Magazine, and the Toronto Star all highlighted as a powerful and compelling piece which most Canadians will be thoroughly shocked by.
