Hosted by OPIRG Guelph
When: Friday, March 2oth Where: University Centre (UC) 441, U of G campus
Workshop Description:
Stress can negatively impact us in a variety of different ways. This workshop with explore ways in which stress affects our bodies and ways we can work with herbs to soften the impact. Together we will also cover topics like herbal therapeutic actions related to the nervous system, building resilience to stress, using food as medicine and common herbs for teas. This workshop will also expand on topics like defining self care versus prioritizing privilege and reclaiming ancestral knowledge in the face of colonialism and racism.
This workshop is open to everyone but we ask that people be respectful and center the needs of racialized people. Western Herbalism is built upon the backs of Brown and Black people and we need to insure this space does not continue that legacy.
