Student and Community seats are open on OPIRG Guelph’s Board of Directors.
The nomination period is now open and the application deadline is Wednesday February 4th at 5pm.
No experience needed, just a passion for social and environmental justice and some time and energy to contribute. You’ll gain valuable and transferable skills and experience, in a supportive learning environment. Being on the OPIRG Guelph Board is a great opportunity to make a difference on campus and in the community!
Being on a Board is an important responsibility. As a Director, you can expect and are committing to:
- 2 hour hybrid meetings every other week, and participation in at least one committee
- Weekly time commitment of 3-5 hours
- Mandatory training sessions
- Required participation in important OPIRG events, like our Symposium and AGM
- Dinner is provided with each Board meeting!
- Opportunities to meet and work with other rad folks and organizations in Guelph
Elections will happen at our Annual General Meeting on February 25th.
